Start of Euro 2008 - Football Championship we waited so much!
My dear readers, I congratulate you with the start of so awaited Euro 2008! During this month a lot of us will play Football Manager less than usually because we are going to spend much time sitting near TV-sets :) The opening match was very the same as during the last Euro championships when home team looses the game with 0:1 score. Switzerland - Czech Republic... My opinion is that the game was really even and national team of Switzerland didn't deserve the loss. They could have penalty after Ujfalusi's hand in the box. Or there could be goal if Fonlanten is more lucky when ball had got in the bar without chance for Petr Cech to save it. In the end I think that was the match between two rather average national teams (though Czech has more experience, of course). They didn't do anything that could wonder us like brilliant technique, unpredictable passes, flamboyant actions. Buy I think that one of these teams will get into quaterfinals but not further... PS. Sorry for off-topic post but I'm really fond of such championships as Euro and World Cup. So I will write sharing my minds about the passed games during June from time to time :-) Watch Euro!!!  So I continue writing my Southampton story even being in business trip in Sweden (rather far from my native Ukraine). The new season 2010/2011 was expected to be successful having the target of getting to the top half. And, of course, there were some good transfers between the seasons that should help in achievement of the target. But the start of the new season was unexpectedly sad due to very bad schedule. Look at the first 5 opponents in Premier League: Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham. For sure, my boys were fighting, and it was fine but not enough... As a result morale of the all main players got down to Poor and Very Poor levels. Due to bad morale we had several unlucky games with Fulham, Bolton, West Ham. Actually, we performed better than opponent in the most of starting matches played against non-grand club teams. As example, the stats of away match with Bolton: You see Southampton made more shots and had more possession... One of the reasons of such poor beginning of the seasons 2010/2011 is that I changed the half of the first squad using some newly transferred footballers  like Romaric, Daniel Niculae, Dmytro Chygrinskyi, Souleymane Diamoutene, Edson Braafheid, Daniel De Ridder. These players have been still adapting to the style the team had played in the previous season. Resulting league table after 14 fixtures played is the following: Board is really disappointed about our 18th position taking into account top half expectations... Though seems like we began playing more confidently and effectively in the defence and attack. And my opinion is that Southampton can clamber up to the 10th position till the end of the season! Choice of a skin in FM 2008 allows you to customize user interface of your favourite football management game in the way you want. It's important because most most of us do not like the standard skin very much. Though the standard one becomes better and better comparing with previous FM versions. Therefore it's rather suitable for me and I use it. There are many places where you can download a good pretty skin. For instance, here or on FM Glive. Easy money
Once the World Class League is unlocked, you will be required to make a profit of $200,000. Go to this event, and spectate Air Trauma. Bet on Crystal; the odds are 20:1. At the very beginning of the race, cheer for Crystal, and she will get a full nitrous bar. Make sure the person in front of her loses their nitrous every time they gain it by booing them. Keep doing this until Crystal has passed everyone including the leader. If she wins the race at the end of 16 laps, you will win six million dollars.

Recommended car
When starting the game and you must choose which car to buy, select the Mazda RX-8 if you want the fastest in stock out of all the other cars. Two other good cars to try at the beginning of the game are the Toyota Corolla GTS and Nissan 200SX.

For League 7 cars, the Infiniti G35, Lexus IS300, and Nissan R32 and R34 are recommended. The Lexus IS300 is good for the Drift Obliterator, Drift King, and Pink Slip races. The Infiniti G35 is good for unlocking performance mods. The Nissan R32 and R34 are good for the circuit and drift racing throughout the game
